Hide hidden achievement spoilers in OppsCity
OppsCity hides an unearned secret achievement’s name behind “Hidden achievement.” The masking applies across the product, so tracking an opp does not expose that unearned secret name. Receipts go further: they show completion percentages and events, never achievement names. You can compare progress without sharing the details of the unlock.
Follow the lead without revealing the secret
Tracker is where you review achievement progress. Radar shows who is ahead and who is gaining. Beef Feed records rivalry activity. Spoiler protection keeps an unearned secret achievement masked across those surfaces; it does not require you to stop following the rivalry.
Competition is asynchronous. You can play separately and compare completion afterward without needing to know which secret unlock put an opp ahead.
Walk through a spoiler-safe check
Illustrative workflow: @example is following a rivalry while a secret achievement remains unearned. The example deliberately supplies no secret name or description.
- Open Tracker to review progress. Read the masked entry as “Hidden achievement” rather than searching for its name to explain the gap.
- Open Radar to check the lead. Compare the recorded completion, without trying to infer a story event from the rival’s position.
- Open Beef Feed to follow activity. Keep unearned secret details out of any discussion of the event.
- If sharing a result, use a receipt and a caption about the rivalry position. Do not add the missing secret name yourself.
Compare the safe card with an added caption
| Shared material | What it contains | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| OppsCity receipt | Percentages and events, without achievement names | The card communicates the rivalry result. |
| Your accompanying caption | Whatever you choose to write | Keep secret names and story details out of your own words. |
| An image from elsewhere | Content outside OppsCity’s masking | Do not assume the tracker can hide spoilers in an image you add. |
The product’s masking describes what OppsCity displays. It does not promise to remove spoilers from another site, a separate image or a player’s own message.
For account controls, the relevant screen is Settings → Privacy & Safety. The masking described here is a product-wide rule, not an instruction to reveal a secret or change a setting before tracking.
Read how receipts work for the shareable result, or how OppsCity works for the wider workflow. More mechanics are in the competition hub.
Keep the rivalry visible while the unearned secrets stay hidden.
